Job Description
The Regional Sales Manager for is responsible for managing the Field Sales Team on local level including the planning, coordinating of sales activities and goal setting for field sales. The Regional Sales Manager reports to the General Trade Account Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set the team and individual KPI’s (quantitative and qualitative). Communicate the KPI’s and structure effectively to the team.
- Accountable for monitoring and achievement of the defined KPI’s. Manages and coaches the team to ensure they achieve the defined targets.
- Prepares annual Point of Sales plan and is accountable for achievement of the established objectives (assortment, shelf, activation) for operational excellence at point of sales.
- Defines quantitative and qualitative objectives by brand, supervises and execute monthly control of the annual plans by distributor.
- Authorize POS budgets, supervise and track on monthly basis.
- Together with Shopper Marketing Team define incentive criteria for direct reports and supervision of the rest of the team.
- Supervise and track sell-out per route, and in case of deviations, define corrective actions.
- Actively participate in the most important negotiations by clients of annual agreements, promotional activities, discounts, etc., with POS impact.
- Actively participate in meetings with the Sales, Trade Marketing and Marketing meetings for sharing projects, reviewing, and discussing the actions and their implementation, opportunities
- Ensure appropriate and updated sales and business training programs for his team (sales rep’s and merchandisers). Align them with current strategy and objectives.
Qualifications
- FMCG experience;
- Regional Manager with more than 5 years of experience managing distributors;
- Familiar with East Malaysia Retailers and Route to Market;
- Good knowledge of MS Office;
- Added advantage if you have experience in East Malaysia Region and Based in Kota Kinabalu or Kuching.
