Job Description

In this role, the Environmental Technician II will perform routine and frequent manual and heavy labor tasks to properly treat, store, pack, move and/or dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with environmentally responsible and cost-effective practices along with Clean Earth policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

· Supervise and operate fork trucks and other heavy equipment when properly trained to move materials for storage / loading and off-loading / production

· Collecting samples of inbound waste for laboratory analysis

· Complete required paperwork in accordance with our practices and procedures

· Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.

· Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned by management.

· Separate and pack materials for transport and disposal

Qualifications

  • · High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
  • · 1+ years related work experience
  • · Ability to operate equipment, including a forklift and pallet jack
  • · Have the ability to read, write and speak in English
  • · Ability to wear company provided personal protection equipment including eye protection, steel toed shoes, hard hat, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator

Preferred Qualifications:

  • · 2+ years of experience sampling and receiving hazardous waste
  • High School Diploma
