Job Description
- Provides professional nursing care to residents through the proper administration of prescribed medications and treatments
- Monitors the medication and treatment cart, nurses' station, and medication room to ensure that expired medications are properly disposed of and narcotics are counted per policy and regulations
- Supports the scheduler in the scheduling function
- Makes daily round and audits, including shift report to ensure proper care, documentation, and order transcription to maintain high standards for this department.
- Assigns duties to PCAs and takes an active role in supervising, educating, and helping them develop.
Qualifications
- Current LPN licensure in the State of Delaware.
- General working knowledge of the aging services industry.
- Proven supervisory and leadership skills.
