Job Description
Technology Architect will design the networking and security architecture for the Non-VMware private cloud platform within the FCI Service Family base on the open source. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and multi-tenant SUSE/KVM-based cloud services with focus on Software-Defined Networking capabilities. The architect will design network part for cloud platform base on the KVM virtualization, networking, automation, and integration domains.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement a SUSE-based virtualization platform using KVM as the hypervisor
- Ensure the platform is certified and optimized for workloads, including sizing, high availability, and performance requirements.
- Design the network architecture (management, storage, tenant networks) to support the platform.
- Implement Software-Defined Networking (SDN) (e.g., OVN/OVS or similar) for flexible tenant isolation, micro-segmentation, and multi-tenant support.
- Define security zones, firewall rules, and routing patterns aligned with SAP and enterprise requirements.
- Standardize on Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (infrastructure provisioning) and Ansible (configuration management).
- Provide APIs and integration patterns so other tools and portals can consume the platform services.
