Mechanical Technician

Job Description

In this position you will work as a member of IDIADA 's mechanical department supporting vehicle and component safety tests. You will be responsible for preparing vehicles for safety testing in multiple test areas within the organization.

This position is located in Adelanto, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Install and verify equipment as required for vehicle and component tests including; brake abort systems, equipment racks, camera stands and other test equipment.
• Operate diagnostic equipment, hand tools and power tools.
• Support the test teams in the set up and execution of tests.
• Maintain safe working practices and environment.
• Maintain and operate a clean and organized working environment.
• Help to identify and implement new tools, methods or processes to improve quality, efficiency and timing.
• Maintain all work area documentation including note logs, check sheets and part inventory.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a shop or mechanical environment.
• High School Diploma; two-year technical degree or prior trade experience preferred.
• Ability to use Outlook, Excel, and Word, and other MS Office applications.
• High level of initiative and proactive approach.

Additional Information

Job Functions:

• Must be physically able to support test preparation and execution in an outdoor environment.
• Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work extended hours and weekends.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Possess a valid California driver’s license.
• Meet all workplace health and safety requirements and practices.

Schedule:

• Monday to Sunday
