Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Sofitel Brisbane Central on a part-time basis. In this key role, you will lead and support our dedicated Housekeeping team, ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service excellence across all guest and operational areas.

You will play an important role in maintaining Sofitel’s reputation for luxury hospitality while creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment where team members can perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily briefings and team meetings to communicate priorities, standards, and operational expectations
  • Supervise and coordinate housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas and across all the hotel facilities ensuring compliance with Sofitel standards
  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas to maintain exceptional cleanliness, presentation, and quality standards
  • Manage daily task allocation, team workflows, and roster requirements to support efficient operations
  • Monitor team performance, attendance, and conduct while providing guidance, feedback, and support for continuous improvement
  • Support the onboarding, induction, and training of new team members
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire, and emergency procedures, promoting a safe workplace environment
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Monitor stock levels, equipment, and supplies while supporting effective cost management
  • Maintain professional grooming and hygiene standards, representing Sofitel’s values and luxury service expectations
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and team activities as required
  • Build a collaborative team culture that encourages engagement, teamwork, and professional growth.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment
  • Opera PMS experience is highly desirable
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and manage time effectively
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with all hotel departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards
  • Adaptable and quick to learn new processes, systems, and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and approachable manner.
