Senior Accountant

• Assisting the Site Finance Manager, Malaysia with a range of duties at manager's discretion. There will also ultimately be a ‘maternity leave’ cover aspect to this role, but that will not be in the initial few months.
• The position requires strong technical accounting knowledge, team collaboration capability, and the ability to support business operations through financial insights and process improvements.

• Helping with the London ‘Group’ team on a range of inter-company accounting clean-up projects, which will include mainly: a) helping with implementing the D365 automated matching functionality, b) reconciling aged balances, and c) settling / matching aged balances to stop them continuing to ‘build up’.

• Depending on timings and workload, support may also be given to the Group D365 Systems Manager on continuing to implement functionality in several APAC countries such as in China and in Taiwan.

Requirements

• 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally working in a larger international business with exposure to group reporting and multi-currency transactions.

• Ideally either a Qualified Accountant (CA or equivalent), or local accountancy university equivalent or studying for accounting exams.
• Exceptional business sense thinking, attention to detail, and cross-functional communication.
• Experience using Microsoft D365 will be an advantage.
• High proficiency in both English and Mandarin (fluency in reading and speaking is required to communicate with other region Chinese entities). This is a MUST
