Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist
Band: 7
Location: Harefield Hospital (with optional days at Royal Brompton)
Start Date: Mid‑June
Duration: 2–3 months initially, with potential extension
Working Pattern: Full‑time
Role Overview
Pulse is seeking an experienced Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join the team at Harefield Hospital on a full‑time locum basis. This role begins in mid‑June and is expected to run for 2–3 months, with the strong possibility of extension through to January 2027.
This is a specialist acute role requiring advanced skills in FEES, tracheostomy management, and ventilator‑dependent patients. Only candidates who meet these clinical requirements will be considered.
There is flexibility within the role, with the option to work two days per week at Royal Brompton Hospital.
Key Requirements
- FEES‑trained (essential)
- Tracheostomy‑trained (essential)
- Ventilator‑trained (essential)
- Experience working in acute hospital settings
- Ability to work autonomously and within MDT environments
Travel & Logistics
We recognise that travel to Harefield can be challenging. To support this, a shuttle bus is available:
- Departs Royal Brompton at 9:00am (within working hours)
- Returns from Harefield at 4:00pm
This makes the commute significantly more manageable for locums based centrally or working across both sites.
