Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Human Resources Manager to support and drive HR initiatives across manufacturing operations. This mid-level role requires a hands-on professional with strong experience in recruiting, partnering with external staffing agencies, and managing core HR generalist functions including employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable supporting both frontline manufacturing staff and leadership teams.
### Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for manufacturing, technical, and administrative roles.
Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and hiring strategies.
Manage relationships with third-party recruiting agencies and staffing firms.
Develop and maintain a pipeline of skilled candidates for critical roles.
Coordinate onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a seamless new hire experience.
HR Operations & Generalist Duties
Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and supervisors regarding HR policies and procedures.
Manage employee relations issues, including coaching managers, conducting investigations, and resolving conflicts.
Support performance management processes, including reviews and development planning.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems.
Benefits & Compensation
Administer employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.).
Serve as liaison with benefits providers and brokers.
Support annual open enrollment and employee education efforts.
Assist with compensation benchmarking and salary administration.
Training & Development
Identify training needs within manufacturing and administrative teams.
Coordinate employee training, certifications, and development initiatives.
Support leadership development and succession planning efforts.
Process Improvement & HR Initiatives
Recommend and implement HR best practices to improve efficiency and employee engagement.
Support company culture initiatives and employee retention strategies.
Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to leadership.
### Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
5–8 years of HR experience, including at least 2–3 years in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience with full-cycle recruiting and working with staffing/recruiting agencies.
Strong knowledge of HR generalist functions, including employee relations and benefits administration.
Solid understanding of employment laws and HR compliance.
Preferred
HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar).
Experience supporting hourly and shift-based workforce populations.
Familiarity with HRIS systems and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
