Cura Health is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to lead and oversee the dietary services department. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs of our patients and residents. You will manage daily operations of the kitchen, oversee food safety compliance, supervise dietary staff, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop menu plans aligned with nutritional standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise dietary department staff, including cooks, aides, and prep cooks.
- Develop and implement menus that meet nutritional guidelines and accommodate special dietary needs.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding food safety, sanitation, and dietary services.
- Oversee inventory management, food ordering, and cost control measures.
- Conduct staff training and performance evaluations to maintain high service standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient nutrition and wellness goals.
- Maintain accurate records related to dietary services and report as required.
Requirements
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential required.
- Proven experience in dietary management, preferably in healthcare or long-term care settings.
- Strong knowledge of nutrition, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage budgets, inventory, and resource allocation efficiently.
- Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping.
