ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for our first Strategic Finance Analyst to help build the financial foundation that supports Brodie's next stage of growth.
This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing company at a pivotal stage and play a foundational role in shaping how financial decisions are made across the business. As one of the first hires within our FP&A function, you'll have the opportunity to build systems, develop reporting frameworks, and create the tools that help drive strategic growth.
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance, you will play a key role in financial modeling, budgeting, scenario planning, cash flow forecasting, reporting, and the implementation of AI-powered finance tools. You'll work closely with senior leaders across the organization, helping translate data into actionable insights that support business performance and long-term growth.
This role offers significant exposure to strategic finance initiatives, including treasury, investor reporting, capital planning, and future expansion opportunities as the company scales.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Build, maintain, and improve Brodie's financial planning and reporting infrastructure using AI-enabled tools and workflows
Develop financial models, forecasts, budgets, and scenario planning tools to support strategic decision-making
Monitor and maintain financial dashboards, reporting tools, and key performance metrics
Support cash flow forecasting, runway analysis, treasury activities, and multi-currency financial planning
Create ad hoc financial models related to expansion opportunities, payroll analysis, automation initiatives, and operational planning
Analyze business performance and provide insights on key financial metrics, including profitability, customer economics, and growth trends
Partner with Operations, Community, Procurement, and other business units to gather inputs and communicate financial insights
Assist with investor reporting, governance materials, due diligence requests, and strategic finance projects
Support ongoing process improvements and automation initiatives across the finance function
REQUIREMENTS
1-2 years of experience in financial planning, corporate finance, financial analysis, consulting, accounting, or a related field
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related discipline
Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, automated workflows, and building models from scratch
Demonstrated experience using AI tools in a professional setting to improve workflows, reporting, analysis, or business processes
Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Must be based in the GTA or surrounding areas and available to work from our Toronto HQ 5 days per week. We believe our success is built on strong in-person collaboration, teamwork, and shared energy in the office.
COMPENSATION DISCLOSURE
The expected annual compensation range for this role is between $75,000 and $85,000 CAD. Compensation is based on skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and business needs. The compensation range may be adjusted in the future.
