Part-Time Food Service Worker

The Part-Time Food Service Worker position is a fast paced customer service position. Responsibilities include replenishing, maintaining and cleaning food venues. At times will prepare student orders at a Marketplace venue under the direction of a culinary staff member. Duties may include refilling beverage dispensers with milk or juices and/or the ice cream machine as well as assisting the dish room during busy times. This position has opportunity to interact with the diverse student population of Grinnell College. This position is part-time and not eligible for benefits.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or 4 years or experience is required
• Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, etc.
• Values diversity and inclusion
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to excel in a fast paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Six months or more experience in commercial food services or an equivalent combination of education, training and expertise
• Serve Safe Certificate

Benefits

Compensation Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
