About This Opening
An outpatient orthopedic clinic in Independence, Missouri is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to provide care for patients with orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. This position offers a professional clinic setting, an established clinical team, and a caseload that includes patients from adolescence through older adulthood.
The role is well-suited for a new graduate looking to begin in outpatient orthopedics or an experienced Physical Therapist seeking a stable full-time position with competitive compensation. Daily work includes evaluations, treatment planning, hands-on care, patient education, documentation, and collaboration with PTAs.

Patient Age Range: 11 to 90 years old

Pay Range
- $65K–$70K per year for new graduates
- $80K–$90K per year for experienced Physical Therapists, based on years of experience
Schedule Options
The clinic offers flexibility and would strongly prefer one of the following schedules:
Four 10-Hour Days Preferred
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- Tuesday off weekly
Monday–Friday Option
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Wednesday, Friday: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Clinical Setting
- 7–15 patients per day
- Approximately 160–190 patient visits per week
- Team includes 2 Physical Therapists and 2 Physical Therapist Assistants
- WebPT used for documentation
- Patients range from 11 to 90 years old
- Main treatment focus is orthopedic and musculoskeletal care
- New graduates encouraged to apply

Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and identify functional limitations, pain concerns, mobility deficits, and treatment goals
- Create care plans that address strength, balance, flexibility, movement quality, and daily function
- Provide skilled interventions such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, mobility training, and balance work
- Teach patients home exercise programs and safe return-to-activity strategies
- Track outcomes and update treatment plans based on patient response
- Document visits, progress notes, evaluations, and discharge plans in WebPT
- Work with PTAs to ensure treatment plans are followed appropriately
- Communicate clearly with patients, providers, and referral sources when needed
Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program
- Active Missouri Physical Therapist license or eligibility for Missouri licensure
- New graduates are welcome to apply
- Outpatient orthopedic experience is helpful, but not required
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work with patients across a broad age range and variety of conditions
