Job Summary:

Under direction of a senior software engineer, the software engineer develops, maintains, and enhances internally developed applications, tools, and utilities, including a proprietary advisor support platform that includes CRM, investment tracking, billing, research and operational workflows.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a .NET-based, proprietary advisor platform

  • Build and enhance API and back-end services

  • Write and optimize T-SQL queries and stored procedures for data access and reporting

  • Troubleshoot bugs and performance issues

  • Take direction from Senior Software Engineers and Project Leads

  • Adhere to best practices in software development, including CI/CD, testing, code quality, and documentation

  • Collaborate with other team members and contribute to team discussions

  • Interact with internal clients regarding development details

  • Document technical processes and system changes

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience

  • 1 to 3+ years of experience in software engineering or internships

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate experience

  • Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) experience

Skills:

• Microsoft development stack (.NET, C#, ASP.NET, etc.)

• Basic Web API development

• T-SQL and SQL Server Fundamentals

• Understanding of OOP principles

• Some experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and modern engineering tooling and general software development life cycle principles

• Ability to solve problems and make decisions in complex environments

• Sequel server reporting services experience is a plus
