Oura is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Retail, LATAM who will lead the business expansion and growth in the Latin America Region. This individual will provide leadership, direction, and resource stewardship to the Oura retail sales function across LATAM. As a senior sales leader, the Director of Retail is accountable for, driving existing key accounts, identifying new market opportunities, term negotiations, overall sales performance, and for aligning sales objectives with firm business strategy. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in retail sales management, a deep understanding of the consumer hardware market, and a proven ability to lead high-performing sales teams.
The ideal candidate brings deep retail experience, a track record of building and scaling retail partnerships in LATAM, and a passion for delivering best-in-class in-store and omnichannel brand experiences across diverse markets.
Preferred location is Miami FL, remote candidates will be considered.
What you will do:
Retail Sales Strategy and Market Expansion:
- Align the sales organization’s objectives with firm business strategy through active participation in Oura’s strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales planning, and budgeting.
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to drive sales growth and market share.
Sales Performance Management:
- Set and achieve sales targets and KPIs for retail channels across Latin America.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and adjust strategies as necessary to meet and exceed targets.
- Proactively assess existing sales organization support investments, including MDF/CO-OP, Conditional/Unconditional Rebates, Merchandising and Administrative support.
Channel Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, including major electronics retailers, department stores, and specialty stores.
- Negotiate and manage contracts, pricing, and promotional activities with retail partners.
- Lead distributor strategy, performance management, forecasting, inventory planning, and commercial negotiations across the region.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing retail sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Provide guidance and support to sales managers and representatives to enhance their performance and career development.
Market Insights and Reporting:
- Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on sales performance, market conditions, and strategic recommendations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and support for retail sales initiatives.
- Partner with DTC, Membership, Partnerships, and Enterprise teams to drive omnichannel growth opportunities across the region.
- Collaborate on the development and execution of marketing campaigns and product launches to maximize retail impact.
What Success Looks Like:
- Extensive experience in a senior retail sales management role within the consumer electronics industry.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire sales teams.
- Deep understanding of the Latin American retail market and consumer hardware industry trends.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Proven ability to create, review and interpret financial market category information and translate insights into action plans.
- Passion for the brand and driven to succeed in a commercial environment.
Requirements:
We would love to consider you for this role if you have:
- 12+ years of experience in retail sales, trade, and account management, with 5+ years in a leadership role focused on LATAM.
- Must be bilingual – English and Spanish.
- Proven success with a wide range of large retailers across many verticals – general merchandisers, online, specialty, and others.
- Strong background in driving success with existing partners, launching new retail channels and managing complex product launches
- Experience leading large scale fixture/display programs and visual merchandising for top-tier retailers – 3PL programs, training, maintenance programs, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, and continue to build teams as the business scales.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical acumen, and project management skills.
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills.

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

- Region 2 $182,750 - $215,000
- Region 3 $164,900 - $194,000
