Apartment Maintenance Technician

Makowsky Ringel Greenberg, LLC is currently accepting applications for an experienced, HVAC-certified Maintenance Technician for our roving maintenance team, which serves various apartment communities and commercial locations in the Memphis metropolitan area. This position's regular work schedule is Monday through Friday but also includes rotating on-call responsibilities and overtime as needed. The candidate should display strong organizational and customer service skills. The candidate must be able to manage time well, work unsupervised, and be able to perform on both residential and commercial sites as needed.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

• Appliance repair and installation
• Repair and installation of HVAC equipment
• Plumbing repairs
• Electrical repairs
• Install, repair, and rekey locks
• Routine preventive maintenance
• Preparing apartments for move-ins (make-ready work)
• Assist other company technicians as needed in trouble shooting and repairs
• Adhere to company safety policies, including applicable OSHA safety standards
• Daily documentation of work performed
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• HVAC certification required (Universal preferred)
• Two or more years of apartment maintenance experience
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
• Physical ability to perform the tasks assigned
• General knowledge of building codes and laws applicable to maintenance and repair work
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to complete required documentation of work performed on a daily basis
• Ability to work in both residential and commercial settings
• Candidates must have a reliable vehicle suitable for maintenance work
• Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
• Must pass credit check, background check, and drug screening
