What You Will Do:
As a Desktop Support Technician, you will provide hands-on support for IT equipment and workspace setups, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service.
Location:
When not travelling, this role will require presence 5 days a week onsite in Berlin
International Travel:
This position involves regular business travel within Germany, including visits and support across multiple office locations in Europe. Occasional international travel to regions within the Middle East and Africa may also be required.
All travel will be conducted in accordance with applicable local laws and organisational policies. The successful candidate must be able to meet the legal entry and work requirements for the relevant jurisdictions, including holding valid travel documentation (e.g., passport, visas where applicable) and adhere to the relevant medical advice and health requirements associated with travelling to those locations (e.g., vaccinations or preventative measures), all in line with public health guidance. These will be essential to legally and safely fulfil all aspects of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Fulfil materials and equipment requests
- Deploy desk setups and monitors
- Safely dispose of equipment
- Provide desk-side support and troubleshooting
- Manage inventory levels and restocking
- Maintain vending machines (L1 maintenance, moves, planogram changes)
- Handle e-waste and donation requests
- Collect IT equipment (terminations, upgrades)
- Assist with desk moves
- Liaise with inventory teams
- Perform inventory counts and manage stock levels
- Receive inbound hardware
- Coordinate EMEA shipments
- Support other projects as assigned
What You Need to Succeed
- Experience in logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with inventory tools (preferred)
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Attention to detail and organisational ability
- Team-oriented and professional approach
