Sizanid Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Contract Lawyer to support its legal operations across the Philippines, Latin America, and other international markets. This role focuses on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements while ensuring compliance and managing contractual risk in a fast-paced, cross-border environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including employment contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, service agreements, and partnership contracts.
- Ensure contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies across relevant jurisdictions.
- Identify, assess, and communicate contractual risks, obligations, and liabilities, including considerations under U.S. and international frameworks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, Operations, and Business teams) to align contract terms with business requirements.
- Support employment-related contracting matters, including contractor classification and onboarding documentation.
- Conduct legal research to support contract interpretation, negotiation strategy, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate and organized contract records and ensure proper documentation throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain standardized contract templates and internal guidelines to improve contracting efficiency and consistency.
- Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments affecting commercial and employment contracts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Juris Doctor (JD), or equivalent legal qualification.
- Licensed attorney in the Philippines or a Latin American jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in contract law.
- Strong experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Solid understanding of contract law, commercial law, and employment-related legal principles.
- Proven ability to analyze legal risks and provide practical, business-oriented recommendations.
- Experience working in cross-functional and client-facing environments.
- Familiarity with compliance and risk management frameworks.
- Experience in multinational, remote, or cross-border work environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR and other applicable frameworks) is an advantage.
