Online Acquisition Manager – China

Role Summary- This role drives Payoneer’s digital acquisition in China by leading paid media strategy, optimizing the full customer funnel, and accelerating self-serve growth across eCommerce and B2B segments.

What you’ll do

  1. New Customer Acquisition Strategy:
    • Develop and execute regional marketing strategies to drive new customer acquisition for Payoneer’s products and services across the region.
    • Identify and assess high-value customer segments within the market, including
    • SMEs, e-commerce businesses, digital marketplaces.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to align marketing strategies with Payoneer’s value propositions, ensuring strong messaging across customer acquisition channels.

2. Campaign Development & Execution:

    • Lead the design, execution, and optimization of multi-channel marketing campaigns (including digital, content, paid media, events, and partnerships) focused on new customer acquisition.
    • Oversee campaign budgets, ensuring effective allocation and maximizing ROI.
    • Develop and track KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.

3. Digital Marketing & Demand Generation:

    • Driving the adoption of digital channels such as paid search, social media, display ads, generating leads and new customer sign-ups.
    • Leverage data and insights to optimize lead generation and nurturing processes across digital channels.

4. Market Research & Competitive Analysis:

    • Conduct deep market research to understand local customer behaviors, challenges, and needs across key market.
    • Monitor and analyze competitor activities in the region to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
    • Regularly report on insights, industry trends, and competitive intelligence to help refine acquisition strategies.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with sales, partnerships, and customer success teams to align on growth initiatives, ensuring a seamless customer journey from acquisition to onboarding.
    • Partner with the product marketing team to ensure messaging and positioning resonate with new customers in the region
    • Collaborate with the regional leadership team to define marketing objectives, ensure alignment with overall business goals, and ensure regional success.

Who you are

  1. 8 +years of marketing experience with a strong focus on customer acquisition in the B2B or fintech sectors.
  2. Proven success in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive new customer acquisition.
  3. Experience managing end-to-end digital marketing campaigns, from strategy to execution to analysis, with a data-driven mindset.
  4. Experience in financial technology or payments space is preferred.
  5. Strong understanding of the China market dynamics, with a focus on SMEs, digital marketplaces, and e-commerce businesses.
  6. Expertise in digital marketing channels (SEO, SEM, display advertising, , social media).
  7. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse performance data and optimize campaigns to improve ROAS (Return on Ad Spend).
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross[1]functionally in a global organization.
  9. Proven success in China-focused marketing—experience with Baidu Ads, WeChat Ads, Douyin/Toutiao, etc.
  10. Prior experience at a digital agency or in-house at a fintech/payments company strongly preferred
  11. Experience with CRM systems and lead nurturing tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo).
  12. Analytical mindset with strong proficiency in tools like Google Analytics (GA4), Tableau, and local platforms’ analytics dashboards.
