Job Role: Part-time Admin Assistant

Compensation range: $800AUD - $1,200 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to require roughly 20 hours per week. As a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your schedule, but availability for occasional collaboration during AU business hours is preferred.

Who The Client Is: The client is an Australian-owned logistics and delivery support business that works closely with multiple freight and transport providers. The business focuses on coordinating parcel deliveries, managing transport records, and ensuring accurate reporting and invoicing processes for daily operations. They are currently growing their remote support team to improve operational efficiency and consistency.

Role Overview: We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Admin Assistant to support the day-to-day administrative operations of a parcel delivery business. The role involves processing nightly delivery reports, reconciling operational data, preparing manifests, and supporting invoice preparation. This is a flexible, output-based role suited for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Process and organize nightly delivery and freight reports
  • Reconcile delivery data and identify discrepancies or missing information
  • Prepare manifests and assist with invoice preparation
  • Maintain accurate spreadsheets and operational records
  • Communicate updates, issues, and completed deliverables clearly
  • Support process improvements and administrative workflows
  • Assist with ad hoc admin and data entry tasks as needed

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Good written and spoken English
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
  • Reliable internet connection and remote work setup
  • Experience in logistics, transport, freight, or admin support is a plus
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT is highly preferred

Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that may be set up as either an independent contractor engagement or via an Employer of Record (EOR), depending on client preferences and legal structure.

To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Be available for meetings and collaboration during core business hours
  • Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
  • Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor” if not employed via EOR)
