Position Overview

W.M. Mulherin’s Sons is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Polisher to support our front-of-house operations. This role is responsible for ensuring all glassware and silverware are impeccably cleaned, polished, stocked, and service-ready at all times. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and contributes to creating an exceptional dining experience through attention to detail and teamwork.

Essential Functions

Operational Responsibilities

• Carefully clean and polish all glassware and silverware, ensuring items are spotless and free of water spots, fingerprints, residue, or tarnish.
• Inspect utensils and glassware for damage or defects before returning items to service.
• Maintain organized storage areas for polished silverware, glassware, and polishing supplies.
• Stock service stations and storage areas to ensure adequate inventory throughout service periods.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages, damages, or operational concerns to management.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace cleanliness standards.
• Work efficiently and accurately in a high-volume restaurant environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Service & Team Support

• Assist service staff with clearing and resetting tables as needed.
• Support front-of-house operations to ensure smooth and efficient guest service.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
• Communicate effectively with managers and team members regarding operational needs.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or food service experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to support the team wherever needed.
