Studio Joko
Posted about 6 hours ago
At Joko, we help consumers shop smarter. Our mission is to revolutionize shopping, empowering people to find what they need, make informed decisions, and save money.
Founded in Paris, Joko is a tech company and certified B Corp with over 105 talents across Paris, Barcelona, and New York (and beyond). More than 6 million users already save money every day at 10,000+ merchants with Joko.
From cashback and automatic coupons to price alerts and carbon tracking, we keep expanding our products to make shopping smarter. Weβre now building an AI-powered shopping assistant to help users find the best products by price, quality, and environmental impact.
Having reached profitability in our core market, weβre now scaling globally, with a strong focus on the US.
Itβs still day 1, come build the future of shopping with us!
π Our Gift Cards team
At Joko, the B2B team is the growth engine behind our merchant network and the deals we put in front of 6 million users every day. We sign the best partnerships, negotiate the best rates, and work with every team at Joko to make sure our offers are unbeatable.
The Gift Cards business line is our newest bet β launched two years ago, already a massive business that grew Γ10 last year, and still feeling like day one. We operate in France and the US with a small, tight-knit team. The scope is huge: partnerships, payments, product, operations, fraud β all under one roof. And the ambition is bigger still.
β¨ Why this role is special
Three things make this seat genuinely rare:
You'll own a business, not a function. Most roles at this level are specialized. Here, you sit at the crossroads of operations, partnerships, product, and payments β covering the full picture of what it takes to grow Gift Cards. There's no narrow lane.
The playbook doesn't exist yet. The Gift Cards market is moving fast, and Joko is one of the very few players with real scale in both France and the US. You won't be executing someone else's strategy β you'll be building it.
The team is small by design. We don't add headcount for the sake of it. That means your decisions land fast, your results are visible immediately, and the space to take initiative is real.
π― What you will do
As Gift Cards Associate, you will report directly to the Lead of the business line. Your mission: grow the Gift Cards business as fast and sustainably as possible β in France, in the US, and beyond.
Run and scale our operations: own the processes that make Gift Cards work at scale, from supplier flows to internal coordination. Identify bottlenecks, design fixes, and build the automation layer that lets us grow without growing headcount.
Own key partnerships: manage and grow our relationships with top gift card providers. Negotiate rates, monitor performance, and make sure our users always get the best deal available on the market.
Drive our international expansion: the US is one of our most important growth levers. Adapt our partnerships, processes, and operations to the specific demands of the US market, and help define the roadmap for the countries that come next. We'll also be launching a new country next year, and everything is to be done.
Shape the product from the inside: work closely with Product to push the roadmap in the right direction β translating operational constraints and user insights into features that matter and shipping them.
Keep payments running flawlessly: work with our payment providers to maximize acceptance rates, minimize friction, and ensure our transactions are fast, reliable, and secure at scale.
Fight fraud head-on: Gift Cards is a high-risk surface. Design and continuously improve our fraud monitoring and prevention systems β combining data, process, and product to stay ahead of bad actors.
Spot what's next: keep your eyes on the market, identify emerging opportunities, and bring new ideas with enough conviction to move fast on them.
π Who we're looking for
Education: graduated from a top-tier business or engineering school.
Experience: you have 3β5 years of experience in a fast-growing environment, in Operations, Business Development, or a similar role. You've worked on complex, multi-stakeholder topics and you know what good execution looks like. Previous experience in e-commerce, payments, or a two-sided marketplace is a strong plus.
Ownership over everything: you don't wait to be told what to do. When you spot a problem, you diagnose it, propose a solution, and see it through. You've operated this way consistently, and it shows in what you've shipped.
Analytical backbone: you make decisions from data, not intuition alone. You're comfortable building the analysis yourself β pulling numbers, spotting patterns, drawing the right conclusion β and you use that to drive action, not just slide decks.
Obsessed with efficiency: you look at a manual process and immediately think about how to fix or automate it. You've built systems that scale, and you know the difference between a quick patch and a real solution.
Clear communicator: you can write a crisp brief, run a structured meeting, and align cross-functional stakeholders without losing momentum. You make complexity readable.
Languages: fluent in French and English, written and spoken. The role spans France and the US.
Location: you live in the Paris area, this is a Paris-based role.
