Job Description
The Construction Materials Testing Team Leader will oversee all team operations for the West Central Construction Materials Testing (CMT) team, which includes employees based out of our Denver and Tempe, Arizona Field Offices.
As the CMT Team Leader, you will own and drive the teams’ staff management, financial performance, project quality, and high level of client service. You will establish goals and objectives for the team, focus on employee development and mentoring, and oversee client service management and winning work with repeat clients. You will direct a team of a high-performing individuals and provide purposeful, high-quality solutions to successfully solve engineering and design needs.
Travel between the two offices will be as needed.
Qualifications

Lead the application of Olsson’s quality standards, ensuring consistent execution, accountability, and continuous improvement across projects and teams.
- Possesses strong communication, leadership, and management skills.
- Have a proven track record in meeting and exceeding client expectations.
- Has successful experience in building and maintaining strong workloads.
- Has the ability to attract, develop, and retain talented staff who deliver results.
- Has a detailed understanding of how the firm operates as a consulting business, along with recognizing the significance of the role as a leader, committed to driving the organization towards success.
- Has a valid driver’s license and a good driving history, along with a willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel as required.
You bring to the team:
- Minimum of ten years field-related experience, along with six years of experience supervising technical personnel.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, planning, or a related area preferred. You may substitute the bachelor's degree with an associate degree with equivalent experience.
