The Role:

Sourgum is seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join our team as a Territory Manager. The Ideal candidate will work closely with our Sales and Operations teams to maintain and expand relationships with our partner vendors. This role requires exceptional communications skills, negotiations abilities, attention to detail, and proactive approach to relationship management.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Nurture strong relationships with partnered vendors, facilitating effective communication between vendors and internal teams to ensure the highest levels of vendor and customer satisfaction.

  • Source and onboard new vendors based on company needs.

  • Ensure vendors comply with Sourgum’s systems and procedures.

  • Monitor service quality and customer satisfaction, addressing any issues with underperforming vendors promptly and effectively.

  • Support the Account Executive team by negotiating with partner vendors to secure favorable rates to specific projects.

  • Support the Enterprise Sales team throughout the sales cycle by serving as the primary liaison with hauling partners.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practice to better understand vendors and contribute to company’s growth

The qualifications you need:

  • You must be customer obsesses and tech-enabled

  • Ability to commute to Jersey City, NJ office 4 days a week (Exchange Place)

  • Proven experience in account management, vendor management, procurement, or sales within a B2B industry.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build rapport and trust with vendors and internal teams

  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Comfortable adapting to evolving technologies and incorporating them into day-to-day responsibilities.

  • Commitment to upholding company values of integrity, sustainability, and excellence.

  • Prior experience in the waste & recycling industry, construction, trucking, or similar industry is a plus
