Role Summary

We are seeking a full-time System Administrator to join our team on a 6–9 month contract, working Monday through Friday. In this role, you will provide implementation support, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance for Information Technology (IT) systems.

You will be responsible for Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution, as well as Tier 2 (escalated) support when required. This role involves managing the daily configuration and operational activities of IT systems and assisting users with effectively accessing and using those systems.

The Systems Administrator will provide support, including system monitoring and issue resolution across client/server, storage, network, and mobile device environments.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in systems administration, including configuring, administering, supporting, and maintaining IT systems. This role also includes setting up development and test environments, managing user accounts, maintaining hybrid Exchange environments, and managing domains.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a System Administrator for Microsoft 365 environments, including Azure AD, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Intune, Teams, and OneDrive for Business.
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support, including problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Maintain on-premises and cloud-based virtual environments for development and testing (SharePoint, Azure DevOps Server, Kubernetes).
  • Develop and implement customizations, extensions, and integrations using Power Platform, Power Automate, Power Apps, and other relevant tools.
  • Perform system configuration, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and configure laptop hardware to support end-user operations.
  • Perform regular backup operations and implement data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Support deployment and post-implementation activities, including user training and documentation.
  • Implement and promote standard operating procedures and schedules.
  • Follow established IT policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Stay current with the latest technologies, best practices, and trends related to Microsoft Dynamics 365 and related platforms.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Proficiency with Dynamics 365 customization and development tools, including the Dynamics 365 SDK, Power Platform, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Azure.
  • Experience with Dual Write mapping and configuration between Dynamics 365 Project Operations and Finance & Operations.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in:
  • Windows Server system administration
  • Network administration (firewalls, routers, VPNs)
  • Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Exchange, and Active Directory.
  • Working knowledge of virtualization technologies (Hyper-V or equivalent).
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Knowledge of IT best practices related to security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery.

Preferred

  • Experience setting up SharePoint Online and on-premises environments.
  • Knowledge of the CMMC framework.
