About the Role
As Manager of Rapid Deployment, you will lead a pod of Deployment Engineers and/or Security Solution Engineers — SIEM/SOAR through active hands-on management. This is a player-coach role — you are as comfortable diving into a complex deployment as you are running a 1:1 or unblocking your team. You will work closely with the Project Manager to keep work prioritized and moving.
Job Responsibilities
Directly manage a team of Deployment Engineers and/or Security Solution Engineers — SIEM/SOAR through active daily oversight
Serve as a strong hands-on technical resource for complex deployments — this is a player-coach role requiring both people leadership and deep technical proficiency
Coordinate with the Project Manager to prioritize incoming deployment requests based on team capacity, customer urgency, and skillset
Own team delivery metrics — go-live timelines, concurrent deployment capacity, and content coverage
Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development conversations
Identify and remove blockers affecting deployment timelines
Collaborate with the Director to refine team processes, tooling, and onboarding playbooks
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical & Industry Expertise
5+ years in technical roles (SIEM deployment, content engineering, or similar) with 2+ years in people management
Hands-on proficiency with Google SecOps and/or Microsoft Sentinel — this is a player-coach role
Experience managing deployment pipelines and customer onboarding workflows
Strong project coordination skills; comfortable triaging competing priorities alongside a Project Manager
Experience developing and maintaining technical runbooks and deployment playbooks
Demonstrated ability to both mentor engineers and directly contribute to complex technical work
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a bias toward action
Excellent customer-facing communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance startup environment
Passion for cybersecurity, automation, and continuous improvement
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC certifications, Google Cloud Professional, Microsoft SC-200/AZ-500, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus
