We’re looking for a Business Development Director who expects more from their career. This is an opportunity to become a trusted partner to leading clients, shaping strategic relationships that drive both their success and ours. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering dunnhumby’s growth ambitions by building new partnerships with grocery retailers, CPGs, and other key prospects across the region.
What you’ll be doing
As part of our Business Development team, you will leverage your network and commercial expertise to identify, develop, and win new business opportunities. You’ll represent dunnhumby’s unique, customer-first proposition—helping organizations unlock growth through data and insight.
You will:
- Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities across Retail industries (Grocery, Pharma, Departamental, etc)
- Lead the end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, needs analysis, stakeholder mapping, solution design, pitching, and negotiation
- Position dunnhumby’s solutions across: Customer loyalty and engagement, Category management, Pricing and promotions and Data and retail media monetization
- Build strong, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, becoming a strategic advisor
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Consulting, Finance, and Legal teams to shape compelling, tailored proposals
- Ensure a seamless transition from sale to delivery by defining the optimal operating model and setting engagements up for success
What we expect from you
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
- 10+ years of delivering new business growth in a technology, data, or consulting environment
- Strong network and credibility with grocery retailers and/or CPG organizations (highly desirable)
- Demonstrated ability to build and nurture senior-level relationships, acting as a trusted partner
- A consultative, solution-led sales approach, with the ability to translate client challenges into customer-first solutions
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across cross-functional and global teams
