We are working to support the AFMC mission by leveraging every opportunity to strategically identify, analyze, recommend, and improve Cyberspace and C&I organization, processes, procedures, training, resources, and systems supporting program offices and functional areas under the AFMC COS purview.
- Responsible for inventory control of Information Technology (IT) equipment and enforcing regulations for issuance and disposition.
- Maintains records for IT equipment and accurately track in the internal database.
- Provide support for the IT Asset Management (ITAM) inventory to include disposal of outdated equipment through established means and according to Air Force and Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines.
- Assist new users in obtaining IT equipment.
- Issue receipts to users that are assigned IT equipment to establish responsibility
- Label all IT equipment according to established AF guidelines
- Move IT hardware for existing users changing locations and ensure connection at new location
- Recover unused IT equipment from vacant desks and transport to proper storage areas
- Transport IT hardware between storage locations as required
- Replace printer consumables such as toner, fusers, and transfer units
- Enter and resolve help request tickets using internal management system
- Abide by all applicable DoD, AF, and WPAFB regulations and guidance, including specific guidelines concerning ITAM and the handling of IT equipment
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience supporting PC computing systems
- High school diploma
- US citizenship is mandatory
- Must possess and be able to maintain DoD Secret level clearance
- Basic computer hardware and software troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge regarding printer/multifunction device operation and how to troubleshoot
- Accurate database entry skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted routinely
- Attention to detail

- Excellent listening skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in combination with a team
