Dry Bulk Operator

For a Leading Dry bulk Shipowner and Operator

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and monitor day-to-day dry bulk vessel operations, ensuring smooth and cost-effective voyage execution
• Handle post-fixture operations for owned and managed vessels in close cooperation with charterers, Masters, agents, and brokers
• Monitor loading/discharging operations and ensure compliance with voyage instructions and charter party terms
• Prepare and review operational documentation including SOFs, laytime calculations, and voyage reports
• Monitor vessel performance, bunker consumption, and operational efficiency
• Liaise with internal departments including commercial, technical, and accounting teams to ensure seamless operations
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety standards
• Proactively resolve operational issues and provide effective solutions in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, agents, terminals, and other operational stakeholders

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Dry Bulk Operations within a shipowner, operator, or shipmanagement company
• Solid understanding of dry bulk shipping operations and charter party terms
• Experience handling Handy, Supramax, Ultramax, or Panamax vessels will be considered an advantage
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple voyages simultaneously
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Proficiency in MS Office and shipping software systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Business Administration, or related field will be considered an advantage
