At CESO, an Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in the planning, execution, and delivery of projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes working with, and learning under, the PM in acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.
### Primary Responsibilities
Assist the Project Manager in developing and maintaining project schedules, ensuring all tasks and milestones are completed as planned.Supports the Project Manager and project team in the coordination and execution of architecture and engineering projects.Assists with scheduling, budgeting, document control, and overall project tracking in accordance with project goals and timelines.Participates in internal and external meetings; prepares meeting minutes and follows up on action items.Supports the preparation of design and construction documents under the supervision of senior staff.Tracks project milestones and assists with status reporting to ensure adherence to schedules and deliverables.Collaborates with administrative and technical staff to support invoicing, change orders, and contract administration.Builds foundational knowledge of project management processes and A&E industry practices to support professional development.Helps coordinate project communications among clients, consultants, contractors, and internal team members.Prepares and maintains logs for RFIs, submittals, drawings, and other project documentation.Maintains an understanding of applicable codes, standards, and project-specific requirements.Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing support and facilitating collaboration between different departments.Perform other duties as assigned.
### Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or related field, with entry level experience in design, project management, or a construction related field is preferred; Or 5 years related experience and/or training is required.Computer skills necessary to enter daily timesheet data and use Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence.Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite products, Deltek, and Newforma.
