Role Overview
The Senior Manager, Project Management & Operations, Integrated Channel Marketing (ICM) serves as a senior operational leader responsible for the design, governance, and delivery of project management systems and practices that enable complex, cross‑departmental initiatives across MSF USA. The role owns and matures organization-wide project management infrastructure, tools, templates, and governance models that shape how work is planned, sequenced, and delivered across teams with a focus on fundraising and marketing deliverables.
In addition to overseeing the delivery of intermediate-to-complex, medium‑ and long‑term initiatives, the role functions as an operational integrator across Development and partner departments, aligning stakeholders, managing interdependencies, and mitigating delivery risk. The role carries an organization-wide dependency, where delays or gaps would directly affect cross-departmental, revenue‑critical fundraising initiatives. To sustain delivery at scale, the role provides operational leadership and supervision to project management support, staff, and partners.
Department Accountabilities
Prospecting
Pursue strategic opportunities in coherence with MSF-USA´s strategy, that create long-term value for the movement by identifying and developing new audience segments or donors for its mission.
Donor Cultivation, Engagement and Management
Build trust and loyalty with potential and existing donors. At the simplest level, update donors on activities. At a more complex level, build long-term relationships with key donors and key donor segments. Take overall responsibility for designing, developing, and delivering the donor engagement strategy. May be through channels or through personal relationships.
Fundraising
Secure reliable, sustainable, and efficient resources in alignment with MSF-US commitments.
Brand Positioning
Drive awareness and consideration through brand positioning based on the brand strategy and implement brand plans.
Best-in-Class Fundraising Systems and Capabilities
Deploy and champion the latest technological systems and capabilities that push the boundaries of what Development can produce for its donors.
Roles Specific Outcomes
Project Management Operations & Governance
Lead organization-wide project management systems and governance, including enterprise administration of Asana, by designing and continuously improving shared workflows, templates, and automations that enable consistent, scalable delivery of Integrated Channel Marketing and cross‑departmental initiatives.
Portfolio & Cross-Departmental Delivery
Own end‑to‑end delivery of a portfolio of intermediate to complex, medium‑ and long‑term initiatives by aligning stakeholders, sequencing interdependent work, and coordinating internal teams and external agencies to deliver revenue‑critical outcomes
Operational Leadership, Risk and Issue Management
Provide senior operational leadership by identifying and managing cross‑departmental delivery risks, issues, and dependencies, making informed trade‑offs and advising stakeholders to maintain momentum in complex and ambiguous environments.
Capacity Building & Continuous Improvement
Strengthening organization-wide project management capability by embedding scalable systems, standards, and ways of working that drive continuous improvement in planning, accountability, and delivery effectiveness, for improved marketing and fundraising outcomes.

Supervisory Responsibility
- Supervise the ICM Analyst
- Provide functional leadership and oversight to ICM agency project managers
- Manages and coordinates freelancers, agencies, interns, and volunteers as needed.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
At a minimum the Job Holder should possess:
- Minimum 7 years of successful fundraising experience
- Minimum 2 years of staff management experience.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience and demonstrated ability to effectively manage complex projects
- Experience with digital project management software, such as Asana, Trello, Workfront, or similar tools.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Keen attention to detail with ability to track multiple projects at one time.
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
Preferred:
- PMP Training or Certification preferred; but not required
- Experience with non-profits
Travel Requirements
Must be willing to travel for work as needed.
Location
NYC (Hybrid- in office Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
This role is based in New York, where most of the team and operational infrastructure are located. Due to current staffing and budget constraints, we’re unable to support this position in our California office.
Compensation
$101,769 - $152,653; In alignment with MSF USA’s compensation framework, new hires are generally offered between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
