Accounts Payable Specialist

One Federal Solution seeks a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to support our Federal Government client, the United States Marshals Service (USMS), Financial Services Division (FSD). This position will support financial activities and operational functions while serving as a liaison between Federal employees, contractors, and divisions throughout the U.S. Marshals Service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with financial audits and liaison activities
• Assist with reconciliations and preparation of financial reports
• Help resolve accounting and financial problems
• Prepare journal entries and perform data entry related to payment processing
• Perform mail and invoice distribution
• Communicate professionally via telephone and email with high-level officials throughout the agency, district offices, and external contract affiliates
• Provide ad hoc administrative support to branches within the USMS management structure
• Maintain organized records, reports, and supporting documentation
• Support day-to-day financial and administrative operations as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Tier 2 Public Trust background investigation
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience performing accounts payable functions
• Knowledge of accounting and financial management concepts
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Momentum-based systems
• Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within team environments
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and operational needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting a U.S. Government Agency in an accounts payable or financial support capacity

Compensation

Compensation for this position is tied to a federally designated labor category with a fixed hourly rate of $26.61/hr.
