Quality Assurance Analyst
Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance Analyst: Responsible for Outgoing Quality Control Management.
• Develop and implement outgoing quality control plans for mass production and New Product Introduction (NPI), including preparation of detailed inspection reports and final quality approval documentation for Chemistry related Quality Inspection and Planning.
• Establish, review, and continuously improve outgoing inspection standards and procedures; conduct regular training sessions to ensure inspectors and operators adhere to defined quality requirements.
• Monitor quality performance dashboards (e.g., HAQDX, RES) and key KPIs, identify adverse trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance outgoing quality performance.
• Evaluate inspection equipment, gauges, and testing tools to ensure adequacy and accuracy; recommend calibration, upgrades, or new equipment introduction as needed.
• Analyze field claims, CEO reports, in-house defects, and rework trends to redesign and strengthen inspection processes, ensuring early detection and prevention of recurring issues.
• Monitor daily lot inspection results and make data-driven release/hold decisions to ensure only conforming products are shipped to customers.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) activities for internal and external quality issues, issue NCRs, assign responsible teams, and verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
• Collect combined and analyzed Costs of Internal Failure, External Failure, Appraisal and Prevention cost. Perform internal audit for manufacturing teams, in-house parts, and main/sub assembly line to achieve quality KPI by managing Internal Failure cost. Collect all data from field defect in Washing machine & Dryer LG ERP system. Analysis about each defect type. Classification for Analyzed defects. Compare and analyze each defect type, monthly, yearly, by site in other country subsidiaries to identify the cause of the defect.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to address Chemical/material quality issues and optimize rework procedures, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
Requirements: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree, or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Applied Chemical Engineering, or Manufacturing engineering. Must also possess course work or work experience with (i) Organic Polymer Material and Practice; (ii) Chemical Reaction and Process Engineering; (iii) Chemistry Analytical Design; (iv) Heat Material Delivery and Practice; (v) Environmental Engineering; (vi) Organic Chemistry and Practice; (vii) Energy Material Analysis and Lab’ and (viii) Thermodynamics and Energy.
$73,000/year; 40 hours/week; (Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.); must have proof of legal authority to work in the U.S.
