Senior IT Engineer - Business Systems - #35102

As a Senior IT Engineer – Business Systems  you will lead the digitalization of the core business functions, Finance, HR, Purchasing, Import, and Export. You will act as the key bridge between office operations and IT, ensuring that business requirements are translated into scalable ERP solutions.

As part of its ongoing expansion, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency initiatives in the Philippines, our client is seeking a Senior IT Engineer – Business Systems to support the digitalization and optimization of key business functions, including Finance, Human Resources, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Import, and Export Operations. The role will play a critical part in ERP enhancements, business process optimization, automation, reporting, data analytics, and system integration initiatives, helping drive operational excellence within a global manufacturing and omnichannel business environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Founder (Subject Matter Expert) to visualize technical concepts

• Act as the main interface between Finance, HR, Supply Chain (Import/Export), purchasing and IT

• Analyze and optimize business processes (accounting, HR, compliance, logistics & purchasing)

• Lead ERP implementations and enhancements in Odoo (Accounting, HR, Import, Export, Inventory & Purchase)

• Work with ERP implementation partners to design and deliver system improvements

• Ensure accurate financial data flows, reporting structures, and compliance requirements

• Drive automation of manual processes (reporting, approvals, reconciliations)

• Ensure data integrity and consistency across departments

• Lead UAT, system rollouts, and user training for office teams

Requirements

Must-have Skills / Qualification:

• 5+ years experience in ERP systems with strong exposure to Finance and business operations

• Solid understanding of:

o Finance & Accounting processes (GL, AP/AR, costing, reporting) HR systems (payroll, employee data, compliance)

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• Hands-on experience with Odoo or similar ERP platforms

Advantageous or Nice-to-Have Skills/Experience:

• Degree in IT, Accounting Systems, Industrial Engineering, or related field

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred or strong equivalent accounting experience

• Experience in manufacturing or distribution companies

• Knowledge of Philippine tax and compliance requirements

• SQL, data modelling, or system integration experience

• Strong skills in Microsoft Power BI or similar Business Intelligence (BI) tools. (financial and operational dashboards)

• Experience working with external ERP consultants

• Background in process improvement (Lean, automation)
