Basic Function
SB Energy is seeking a highly organized and execution-focused Manager, OFCI Project Delivery to lead project-level deployment and field integration activities for Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) equipment supporting advanced AI factory and data center infrastructure programs.
Embedded within the project delivery organization, this role will serve as the primary coordination lead between centralized supply chain teams, suppliers, OEMs, general contractors, subcontractors, commissioning teams, and field execution stakeholders to ensure successful deployment of mission-critical infrastructure equipment throughout the construction lifecycle.
The Manager will own project-level OFCI execution activities including local design and code-driven change coordination, inbound logistics oversight, construction sequencing alignment, equipment delivery readiness, site integration, asset tracking, startup coordination, and commissioning support activities.
This role will play a critical part in ensuring equipment deployment activities remain aligned with project schedules, site readiness requirements, commissioning plans, operational standards, and warranty compliance obligations across complex hyperscale infrastructure environments.
The ideal candidate combines strong construction coordination, supply chain execution, field logistics, and mission-critical infrastructure deployment experience with the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced construction environments.
Responsibilities:
OFCI Project Deployment & Construction Coordination:
- Lead project-level deployment coordination activities for OFCI equipment supporting AI factory and advanced data center construction projects
- Serve as the primary project execution interface between centralized supply chain organizations, construction teams, OEMs, suppliers, and commissioning stakeholders
- Coordinate construction sequencing and field integration activities related to OFCI equipment installation and deployment
- Support project execution planning and deployment readiness activities across all OFCI equipment categories
- Coordinate closely with general contractors, subcontractors, rigging providers, crane operators, and field construction teams to support installation readiness and execution alignment
Local Design Coordination & Change Management:
- Support coordination of local jurisdictional, site-specific, and code-driven changes impacting OFCI equipment deployment
- Coordinate field-driven design adjustments, interface modifications, and change order activities impacting OFCI scope
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, suppliers, and commissioning stakeholders to support resolution of site integration issues
- Track and manage site-specific OFCI change coordination activities and deployment impacts
- Support documentation and communication of field changes, installation constraints, and project execution risks
Inbound Logistics & Delivery Readiness:
- Oversee inbound OFCI equipment delivery coordination activities from supplier factories, staging facilities, and logistics providers to project sites
- Coordinate delivery readiness activities including:
- Delivery scheduling
- Site access readiness
- Laydown yard coordination
- Equipment staging
- Rigging and crane coordination
- Delivery window management
- Monitor inbound shipment status, delivery milestones, and site logistics readiness activities
- Coordinate with logistics providers, suppliers, and project stakeholders regarding schedule changes, delivery risks, and deployment impacts
- Support temporary storage and buffer inventory coordination activities as required
Asset Control, Receiving & Preservation Management:
- Coordinate OFCI receiving, inspection, inventory verification, and asset tracking activities
- Maintain detailed records related to:
- Equipment receipt
- Inventory status
- Chain-of-custody documentation
- Storage conditions
- Preservation activities
- Damage reporting
- Warranty documentation
- Coordinate storage conditions, environmental controls, and preservation activities required to maintain equipment integrity and manufacturer warranty compliance
- Coordinate maintenance and periodic preservation activities required during staging or storage periods
- Support issue escalation, damage claims coordination, and corrective action tracking related to delivered equipment
OEM Startup & Commissioning Support Coordination:
- Coordinate OEM startup support activities aligned with project commissioning plans and schedules
- Support Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), integrated systems testing, startup readiness, and commissioning coordination activities
- Coordinate with commissioning agents, OEM field service teams, contractors, and project stakeholders regarding commissioning schedules and deployment readiness
- Track commissioning support requirements, OEM mobilization schedules, and startup coordination activities
- Support turnover documentation, punch list coordination, and operational readiness activities
Supplier Performance & Site-Level KPI Management:
- Maintain site-level supplier performance records and deployment metrics related to:
- Delivery reliability
- Responsiveness
- Quality performance
- Startup support
- Commissioning performance
- Operational issue resolution
- Support supplier KPI reporting and operational feedback processes to centralized supply chain organizations
- Track and escalate supplier performance issues impacting project execution, deployment schedules, or operational readiness
- Participate in lessons learned reviews and continuous improvement initiatives supporting OFCI deployment programs
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred
- 7+ years of experience supporting construction execution, OFCI coordination, mission-critical infrastructure deployment, logistics coordination, or infrastructure project delivery
- Experience supporting hyperscale data center, industrial, utility, manufacturing, semiconductor, energy, or mission-critical construction projects strongly preferred
- Familiarity with OFCI equipment deployment, construction sequencing, and field integration processes
- Experience coordinating with general contractors, subcontractors, OEMs, rigging providers, crane operators, commissioning agents, and project delivery teams
- Strong understanding of site logistics, equipment receiving, staging, preservation, asset tracking, and deployment coordination practices
- Experience supporting startup, commissioning, integrated systems testing, or operational turnover activities preferred
- Familiarity with project controls systems, logistics tracking tools, inventory systems, and operational reporting platforms preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in fast-paced project execution environments
- Strong attention to detail and operational execution discipline
- Willingness to travel extensively to project sites as required
Location:
Site-based role supporting active AI factory and data center construction projects across the United States. Travel and temporary assignment to project locations will be required based on deployment needs.
Base Pay: $140,000-$165,000
The pay range mentioned above is a guideline. We tailor each offer based on your unique skills, experience, location, and market benchmarks—while ensuring internal parity across our teams. In addition to competitive base pay, total compensation may include a discretionary annual bonus and a market leading comprehensive health and wellness benefits package.
