Job Title: Senior Cost Analyst
Location: 42 W 39th Street, 10th Floor, New York, NY 10018
Job Type: Full Time, Onsite Monday-Friday (8:30AM-5:15PM)
Job Description: BRAVO Group is seeking a Senior Cost Analyst to support multiple large-scale projects and contracts. This position reports directly to the Controller and will work closely with the Finance & Accounting team, as well as project leads across the business to ensure accurate cost tracking, forecasting, reporting, and financial oversight throughout projects’ lifecycles. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry, and is highly detail-oriented, organized, and confident managing large sets of project data in a fast-paced environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and overall financial performance across multiple active projects
- Analyze project financial data to identify risks, cost exposures, trends, and opportunities for improved performance
- Prepare and maintain budget analysis reports, forecasting updates, and other project financial reporting as required
- Maintain strong understanding of project contracts, cost structures, and financial controls
- Audit project costs and ensure all expenses are accurately coded and reflected within financial systems
- Analyze financial data to identify risks, cost exposures, trends, and forecasting impacts
- Coordinate with accounting and project teams to reconcile budgets, commitments, change orders, and projections
- Support operational review meetings and provide financial analysis to project leadership
- Assist with cash flow tracking, payment applications, and revenue validation
Minimum Requirements:
- 7-10 years of accounting or finance experience, with significant exposure to cost analysis, project controls, project accounting, or related roles within the AEC industry
- Strong understanding of Construction Management and/or Architecture + Engineering design project financials, forecasting, budgeting, and cost management
- Highly detailed-oriented with strong data management and analytical skills
- Experience preparing financial reports and working with large, complex datasets
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally
- Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with AEC-specific accounting software (BST Global preferred)
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited college or university.
