About the Role

What You’ll Do

  • Ordway Ownership: Learn to translate SOW contract terms into subscription models within Ordway. Eventually, you will take the lead on daily Ordway management, with the Assistant Controller providing oversight.
  • QBO Integration: Ensure the seamless sync between Ordway and QuickBooks Online (QBO), keeping our general ledger pristine.
  • Leadership Support: Assist the Head of Finance and Controller with ad-hoc data requests, financial reporting, and audit preparation.
  • Data Hygiene: Proactively manage and audit data cleanliness across all financial systems to ensure reporting is 100% reliable.
  • Data Integrity: Use tools like Coupler and SaasAnt to manipulate and import data with laser-sharp attention to detail.
  • Process Improvement: Actively look for ways to streamline our tech stack (Ramp, Cube, Claude AI) and propose more efficient workflows.

Qualifications

  • Must-Have: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Google Sheets/Excel. You should be comfortable with complex data manipulation.
  • Process Innovation: Knowledge of and experience in automating manual processes to increase team efficiency.
  • The "Plus" List: Experience with Ordway is a massive advantage. Knowledge of Ramp, Cube, Coupler, or SaasAnt will move you to the top of the list.
  • Accounting Foundation: Understanding of international accounting nuances (like transfer pricing) is a plus.
  • AI Savvy: Comfort using AI tools (like Claude) to enhance your productivity and data analysis.

Schedule & Coordination

  • Commitment: 4 hours per day.
  • Time Zone: You must be based in (or work during) US Eastern Standard Time (EST).
