The role
The Financial Controller plays a key role within Expereo’s Group Finance function, supporting the integrity, accuracy and timely delivery of financial reporting across a complex international organisation.
Reporting to the Group Consolidation Manager, you will work within a global finance team and gain exposure to multi-entity reporting, IFRS accounting, statutory compliance and international finance operations. This role is ideal for a technically strong accounting professional looking to further develop within a dynamic multinational environment.
Alongside core reporting responsibilities, you will contribute to process improvement, standardisation and finance transformation initiatives that support the continued growth of the business.
Key responsibilities:
• Own and coordinate parts of the monthly and year-end close process
• Maintain accounting records and documentation in line with group policies and IFRS standards
• Post journal entries and accruals, ensuring reporting accuracy and timeliness
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Maintain and monitor internal financial controls, flag issues and support remediation
• Support the preparation of audit requests and coordination of external audit
• Assist with the preparation of annual statutory reporting
• Prepare and submit VAT filings
• Contribute to the continuous improvement, automation and standardisation of finance processes and reporting
• Collaborate with AP and Payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely financial processing
• Ad hoc projects
Requirements
• University degree in Economics, Finance, Business or Accounting
• 3+ years of experience in an audit or accounting role
• Strong understanding of IFRS and its practical application within an international group environment
• Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills are highly valued
• Experience working with external auditors is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• A collaborative team player who communicates clearly and works well across different teams and geographies
• Able to work accurately within established frameworks while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
• Excellent written and verbal English
