Who we are, what we do
Sensat is a geospatial AI business that powers advanced and highly functional digital twins for the world's most critical infrastructure projects. We partner with the world's largest construction, engineering and critical infrastructure companies, including National Grid, Network Rail, Heathrow and Severn Trent Water. We enable our customers to fight the costly and high-risk "Status Quo" of siloed data, people and processes. Our AI-powered digital twins help teams digitally visualise, plan and manage projects, providing Project Confidence Through Clarity.
We are a high trust, high impact team, who offer purpose driven work. We operate with autonomy and flexibility in an agile, flat structure. We look for highly talented, adaptable and curious individuals who love solving meaningful problems and who share our resilient team spirit when facing challenges!
We more than doubled ARR in 2025, with a strong pipeline that positions us for another year of 100%+ ARR growth this year! Backed by over £25 million in funding from blue-chip investors like National Grid Partners and with imminent US market entry representing a significant value inflection point, this is an exciting time to join the Sensat team!
The role - why it exists & why it’s interesting
We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Head of Marketing to step into a pivotal maternity cover role at a critical stage of our growth.
This is not a “steady state” marketing leadership role. You’ll be joining a fast-moving, evolving business where structures are still forming, priorities shift quickly, and alignment across teams requires active leadership. In return, you’ll have significant influence over how marketing shapes the company’s growth, positioning and commercial success.
You’ll sit at the heart of the commercial function, working closely with leadership, sales, product and customer teams to drive demand, sharpen our market narrative and enable revenue growth.
This role would suit someone who thrives in ambiguity when multiple opinions and data sources disagree.
This is a 12 month contract. Please note this role is hybrid with 2-3 days per week in the London office.
What you’ll do
Take ownership of the marketing strategy and drive its execution across a 12-month period of high activity and change
Own and manage the marketing budget, ensuring investment decisions are aligned to commercial objectives and deliver measurable return on investment.
Managing and coordinating a cross-functional marketing team, including Digital & Growth Lead, Content Creator & Strategist, Field Marketer & Customer Experience Lead, and Business Development Representative (BDR), alongside fractional support across Product Marketing, Marketing Operations, Marketing Design, and Performance Marketing.
Define and continuously refine our positioning, messaging and voice in the market, aligned to product and customer needs
Act as a key partner to leadership, bringing clarity, structure and commercial focus to marketing initiatives
Plan and deliver high-impact go-to-market campaigns that drive pipeline, leads, and revenue contribution
Oversee demand generation, brand, content, social, website and campaign performance
Translate marketing performance into clear commercial insight, including marketing-to-sales conversion and revenue impact
Set clear short- and mid-term objectives for the team and ensure delivery against them
Support and guide a multidisciplinary team across:
Demand generation and nurture campaigns
Campaign and programme execution
Content and channel strategy
Sales enablement
Product marketing
Account-based / hybrid marketing approaches
Field marketing
Work cross-functionally with sales, customer success, product teams to ensure alignment and execution
Build alignment with senior stakeholders, including co-founders and technical leadership, bringing them on the journey with marketing initiatives
Bring structure and prioritisation to an evolving environment, helping the team stay focused on what drives impact
What makes this role different
You’ll be stepping into a business where not everything is fully defined, you’ll need to create clarity as you go
Stakeholder management is critical: You'll partner with talented leaders and stakeholders, applying your influencing skills to align teams and deliver strong results
The role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on delivery, this is not a purely top-level position
You’ll have the opportunity to shape how marketing operates and contributes to growth in a meaningful way
The opportunity to launch new geographies
What you’ll bring
Strong B2B SaaS marketing leadership experience
Experience helping scale a business through a significant growth phase, ideally from £5m to £10m+ ARR
Experience managing marketing budgets and making data-driven investment decisions in high-growth environments
Proven track record executing digital campaigns in fast-moving startup or scale-up environments
Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to link marketing activities to pipeline, leads, and revenue outcomes
Confidence operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with shifting priorities
Ability to quickly absorb complex technical information and translate it into clear, compelling messaging
Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on tactical execution
Experience managing and developing small, multidisciplinary marketing teams
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and build strong alignment across Sales, Product and Customer teams
Proactive and resilient personality with a strong drive to deliver change
Highly organised and delivery-focused, with the ability to bring structure to evolving environments
Customer-centric mindset with an understanding of how to resonate in industry-specific markets (e.g. construction or similar sectors is a plus)
Why this role is compelling
This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior marketing leadership role with real influence, ownership and visibility, without a long-term commitment.
You’ll be trusted to lead, shape and deliver and your impact will be felt across the business.
If you’re someone who enjoys turning complexity into clarity, aligning teams and driving meaningful growth, this role offers both challenge and reward in equal measure.
