We are looking for a Structured Cabling Technician! The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping to install and troubleshoot fiber optic networks, network cabling, access control, camera systems and video systems at a customer location. This position requires a person who is mechanically inclined, understands mechanical drawings and blueprints, can use hand tools, operate testing equipment and have the ability to follow instructions. The individual must be self-motivated and dependable, travel between different work locations. This position requires the individual to work outdoors at times in all weather conditions.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in telecommunications, electrical, or other related fields

Familiarity with structured cabling, camera and video systems

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Strong attention to detail

Works well in a team environment

Is self-motivated and capable of working alone as required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to climb ladders, use lifts, work in small spaces, work indoor or outdoor in all weather and temperature conditions

Can stand, sit, squat or kneel for long periods of time

Can lift up to 75 pounds

Ability to travel if required.

Responsibilities:

Maintain a professional appearance and follow the standards set forth by management
Install, terminate and test network cabling and fiber optic cabling
Install camera systems and assist technicians in programming when needed
Install video systems
Provide support to team members
Investigate customer issues and design appropriate solutions
Maintain van inventory stock supplies

Position work hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm. Monday - Friday
