Hourly Pay Range: $18 - $22 USD
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Job Summary
Vomela is seeking a dependable Material Handler to join our fast-paced production and shipping team. This role supports daily warehouse, shipping, and production floor operations. If you’re safety-focused, detail-oriented, and enjoy hands-on work in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you.
What you'll do:
- Verify completeness of shipments against shipping orders
- Assemble, pack, protect, label, and weigh outgoing shipments
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other material-handling equipment
- Move materials to support operators on the production floor
- Trace shipments when required
- Maintain adequate inventory of packaging supplies
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently
- Keep work areas and equipment clean, organized, and safe
- Assist other departments when shipping duties are completed
- Make local deliveries or pick-ups using a company vehicle
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you'll bring:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Forklift experience required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Experience with FedEx and UPS shipping systems preferred
- Willingness to learn; training available for the right candidate with a strong work ethic
