Technical Production Assistant - 2nd Shift

The Technical Production Assistant (2nd Shift) holds significant importance in ensuring the smooth and efficient production of high-quality goods. A Technical Production Assistant is a versatile team member who possesses a diverse set of skills and is capable of working across various workstations within the production process. Their purpose lies in contributing to the overall success of the production line by maximizing efficiency and effectiveness.

2nd Shift Hours: 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems with production equipment
  • Perform minor electrical and mechanical repairs on production equipment
  • Assist Maintenance and Manufacturing Engineering Services personnel as necessary with escalated issues
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering Services, Maintenance, and VEGA Germany to resolve Manufacturing equipment problems
  • Train Production personnel on proper use of tools and equipment
  • Accompany third party technicians when Maintenance is unavailable
  • International travel, as required

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school Graduate or GED
  • AND 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Industrial Maintenance Technician apprenticeship or equivalent from a recognized community college or trade school is preferred but not required
