Job Summary

As a Design Studio Manager, you will manage the lifestyle design center and team to serve homebuyers in selecting their home’s design finishes. In this role, you will provide exceptional internal and external customer service through managing the process of design selections and the role it plays in the new home process. The most rewarding aspect of this role is playing an integral role in the vision customers have for their home and coaching a team to do the same.

You will thrive in this role if you:

  • Have an outgoing personality and are comfortable meeting and engaging with new people.
  • Consistently seek to improve on the processes and procedures within your scope of work.
  • Follow a process to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Have patience and take a customer-centered approach to your work.
  • Research products and changing design trends to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable about our product offerings.
  • Can refocus individuals back to the task at hand to ensure timeliness and accuracy of the appointment.

These skills will be used to:

  • Assist customers at design center appointments through the sale-to-start process by providing excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Track and monitor sale-to-start processes through weekly meetings with internal departments to prioritize appointments.
  • Deliver error-free selection sheets. The selection sheets should clearly communicate the customers' wants and expectations so they can be properly executed.
  • Follow up with customers, Sales Counselors, and Divisions as needed to ensure that selections and sign-offs are accurate and completed on time.
  • Work with Division Managers and Sales Managers to design speculative inventory homes utilizing research on what will be popular for a given community and home plan.
  • Train sales teams in product knowledge and new offerings to ensure an educated home-buying process for our customers from start to finish.

Preferred Qualifications

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Must be able to use sensory skills (i.e. verbal communication) to effectively communicate and interact with other Associates and customers.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motions and use fine motor skills (i.e. typing, writing) to operate office supplies (i.e. computer, calculator, copier).
  • Must be able to lift and carry approximately 20-25lbs unassisted.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time with low periods of reaching and standing.
