About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Pursuit Manager to join our Midwest team. This position will lead marketing and proposal efforts for the growing Midwest Region. You will be in the unique position of being able to help grow the Parametrix brand in a developing geography through intentional positioning, disciplined pursuit management, and successful project sales. This role is an entrepreneurial opportunity to create, grow, and lead a marketing team aligned with the needs of an expanding organization. The pursuits will range from small (< $1M fee) to large, regionally significant (> $15M+ fee).

Your Role on the Team:

You will be a senior member of the Midwest Region team and will collaborate with other Parametrix marketing professionals for critical pursuits. Specific requirements of the position include:

  • Assess market conditions to assist in the development of a regional growth strategy.
  • Provide leadership with responding to RFQs/RFPs, including developing winning messaging that aligns with scoring and evaluation criteria. Experience in the Illinois market and broader Midwest is a plus.
  • Translate technical input into compelling, client-focused pursuits, shaping win themes, differentiators, and persuasive narratives.
  • Develop, maintain, and report on pursuit and client data, including tracking upcoming pursuits, client contacts, positioning efforts, and pursuit budgets, and success rates, procurement cycles, and manage information in the CRM system.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of direct experience in proposal strategy, pursuit leadership, and sales within the transportation consulting industry.
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Word.
  • Strong writing, editing, and organization skills.
  • A collaborative and client-service focused approach.

Salary Range
$110,000$160,000 USD

Compensation is determined by factors such as education, experience, location, and role. As employee-owners, we are eligible for performance-based bonuses and our salaries are reviewed annually. We value transparency and look forward to discussing our compensation structure.
