Site Civil Engineer

We are looking for a talented and driven Site Civil Engineer to join our continuously growing team at KARPATHIOS Development.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment. You will play an active role across the full lifecycle of construction projects — from planning and budgeting through to execution, supervision and reporting — working closely with architects, surveyors, subcontractors and fellow engineers to deliver projects to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate as a core member of the KARPATHIOS Development engineering team, supporting the planning, organisation and execution of projects
• Prepare, monitor and manage project budgets and costs within your areas of responsibility
• Participate in the preparation and supervision of supplier and subcontractor contracts
• Organise, coordinate and supervise the implementation of construction works, ensuring full compliance with drawings and quality standards
• Work closely with subcontractors and site crews to maintain project schedules and monitor workmanship quality
• Review design drawings, identify errors or required modifications, and propose optimisations to improve project outcomes
• Conduct quantity take-offs and calculate material volumes (concrete, reinforcement, etc.) and track works progress
• Carry out regular site inspections and feasibility assessments, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with architects, surveyors and engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution
• Maintain clear and open communication with clients, subcontractors and all relevant stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare and submit monthly progress reports including detailed site inspection findings and any identified deviations

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering (University level – AEI) or internationally recognised equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction projects
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD
• Very good command of both Greek and English, written and spoken
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
• Solid organisational and decision-making abilities, with a proactive mindset
