Site Civil Engineer

We are looking for a talented and driven Site Civil Engineer to join our continuously growing team at KARPATHIOS Development.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment. You will play an active role across the full lifecycle of construction projects — from planning and budgeting through to execution, supervision and reporting — working closely with architects, surveyors, subcontractors and fellow engineers to deliver projects to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate as a core member of the KARPATHIOS Development engineering team, supporting the planning, organisation and execution of projects
- Prepare, monitor and manage project budgets and costs within your areas of responsibility
- Participate in the preparation and supervision of supplier and subcontractor contracts
- Organise, coordinate and supervise the implementation of construction works, ensuring full compliance with drawings and quality standards
- Work closely with subcontractors and site crews to maintain project schedules and monitor workmanship quality
- Review design drawings, identify errors or required modifications, and propose optimisations to improve project outcomes
- Conduct quantity take-offs and calculate material volumes (concrete, reinforcement, etc.) and track works progress
- Carry out regular site inspections and feasibility assessments, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with architects, surveyors and engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Maintain clear and open communication with clients, subcontractors and all relevant stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Prepare and submit monthly progress reports including detailed site inspection findings and any identified deviations
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering (University level – AEI) or internationally recognised equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction projects
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD
- Very good command of both Greek and English, written and spoken
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Solid organisational and decision-making abilities, with a proactive mindset
