Site Engineer - Phase A | FTTH Projects

The Site Engineer – Phase A is responsible for supervising and coordinating all field activities related to the initial phase of the FTTx deployment project. The role includes site surveys, verification of civil and telecom infrastructure, coordination with subcontractors, and ensuring that all activities are executed according to project specifications, quality standards, and HSE regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and assess field conditions before implementation.
• Verify existing telecom and civil infrastructure.
• Coordinate daily activities with subcontractors and field teams.
• Ensure compliance with project drawings, design specifications, and customer requirements.
• Monitor project progress and report site status to the Project Manager.
• Identify and escalate technical or operational issues affecting deployment.
• Ensure Health & Safety regulations are properly implemented on site.
• Validate material availability and support logistics coordination.
• Prepare site documentation, reports, and as-built information.
• Support permitting and access procedures when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Previous experience in FTTx / telecom infrastructure projects.
• Good understanding of fiber optic networks and outside plant infrastructure.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and network designs.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of HSE procedures and site management practices.
• Good command of English language.
• Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GIS tools and telecom documentation platforms.
• Knowledge of FTTH deployment methodologies.
• Ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously.
• Driver’s license and willingness to travel for field activities.
