Position Summary:
The Schools Regional Clinical Lead is responsible for providing leadership, clinical supervision, and program oversight for InSite Health’s school-based mental health services across an assigned region. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care to students while supporting clinicians, fostering strong school partnerships, and upholding compliance with ethical and regulatory standards. The Regional Clinical Lead balances direct supervision with operational coordination to drive positive outcomes for students, families, and schools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Clinical Supervision & Quality Oversight
Provide clinical supervision to licensed and associate-level clinicians in alignment with licensure requirements and InSite protocols.
Offer clinical guidance, crisis support, and case consultation.
Ensure documentation is timely, accurate, and compliant with HIPAA, FERPA, and state regulations.
Participate in audits and implement quality improvement strategies.
Fill in for school-based clinicians during leaves of absence to ensure uninterrupted student support.
Regional Program Leadership
Travel across all assigned counties in region where InSite has clinicians placed
Serve as the primary liaison between InSite and school partners in the assigned region.
Coordinate clinician caseloads and monitor service delivery to meet productivity benchmarks.
Identify and resolve barriers to care with a focus on access, engagement, and efficiency.
Execute on marketing and business development plans in collaboration with leadership to promote school utilization and ensure clinician caseloads remain filled.
Team Development & Culture Building
Lead onboarding, mentorship, and professional development for school-based clinicians.
Facilitate team huddles, trainings, and reflective practice sessions.
Foster a mission-driven culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
School & Community Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with school administrators and staff.
Participate in school events to support partnership and visibility.
Host school-based professional development (PD) sessions as needed.
Ensure InSite’s services align with school priorities and goals.
Operational Support
Complete school clearance processes remotely to support onboarding of clinicians.
Assist in ensuring compliance with district and state requirements for staff placements.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field.
Active clinical license in NJ (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT required).
Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) or Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) preferred, but not required.
5+ years of experience providing mental health services to children and adolescents.
2+ years of experience in a school-based, supervisory, or leadership role.
Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, youth mental health, and culturally competent practices.
Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
Ability to travel extensively within assigned North Jersey counties.
Work Environment Expectations
Setting: Regional travel across schools with clinicians placed; may also work remotely for administrative and clearance responsibilities.
Schedule: Full-time, generally Monday–Friday, Occasional evening hours may be required for events, PD sessions or conducting clinical sessions (i.e. school clearance or coverage for school-based clinicians).
Collaboration: Frequent interaction with school administrators, student support teams, clinicians, and InSite leadership.
Mobility: Regular travel across 11 North Jersey counties required.
Pace: Fast-paced environment requiring timely responses to clinical and operational needs.
Technology: Proficiency in electronic health records, email communication, and video conferencing platforms required.
License/Certification:
New Jersey LCSW or LPC (Required)
Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) or Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS)
New Jersey Social Work Certification (Preferred)
