Last Energy is seeking a Technical Assistant to the CEO to serve as a direct extension of the CEO's capacity — equal parts Autodesk drafter and AI researcher. This is a junior role designed for someone who is exceptionally fast in CAD and genuinely obsessed with frontier AI tools. You will spend your days translating the CEO's ideas into precise technical drawings and ensuring the CEO is always equipped with the best and latest AI tools and workflows. This role is ideal for an early-career candidate who thrives in ambiguity, executes with speed, and wants a front-row seat to how a fast-moving nuclear energy company operates at the leadership level.
### Key Duties & Responsibilities
Rapidly produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings from the CEO's concepts — sketches, verbal descriptions, or whiteboard diagrams — with a strong emphasis on speed and iteration
Own the CEO's Autodesk environment, maintaining organized file structures, version control, and drawing standards across projects
Draft a wide range of hardware concepts spanning mechanical assemblies, structural modules, plant layouts, and bespoke components
Continuously monitor the frontier of AI tools — models, agents, coding assistants, automation platforms — and evaluate what is genuinely useful vs. hype
Build and deploy practical AI-powered workflows that augment the CEO's output, including prompt libraries, custom GPT configurations, and research pipelines
Produce concise, actionable briefings on new AI capabilities so the CEO is consistently operating with the best available tools
Test, prototype, and iterate on AI-assisted processes across business functions, from engineering documentation to competitive research synthesis
Manage and prioritize a dynamic, shifting workload with minimal direction
### Qualifications
Exceptional proficiency in Autodesk software — AutoCAD and/or Inventor/Fusion 360 — with a portfolio demonstrating speed and versatility across varied project types
Genuine enthusiasm for and working knowledge of frontier AI tools; you are already using them in ways most people have not thought of yet
Ability to context-switch rapidly between technical drafting and AI research without losing quality or pace
Extremely high agency — you identify what needs doing and do it
Strong written communication; able to distill complex technical or AI topics into a crisp summary
