As part of the strengthening of the activities of an international maritime company operating an offshore support vessel fleet, we are looking for a Deputy Technical Solutions & Standards Manager to join the Asset Management division.
Reporting to the Head of Technical Solutions & Standards, you will play a key role in improving vessel reliability and standardising maintenance practices across the fleet.
Your main mission is to analyse, structure and improve technical processes in order to reduce failures, enhance vessel performance, and optimise fleet availability.
Your role
You operate at fleet level (not assigned to a single vessel), focusing on how maintenance is performed, structured and continuously improved.
Responsibilities
• Maintenance process improvement
- Analyse existing maintenance practices across the fleet
- Identify gaps and areas for improvement
- Develop and deploy standardised processes
- Contribute to the structuring and industrialisation of Planned Maintenance (PMP)
Focus : Improving consistency, reliability and efficiency of maintenance practices.
• Failure analysis & reliability improvement
- Participate in the analysis of Unplanned Maintenance Periods (UPMP)
- Lead or support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities
- Ensure follow-up of corrective actions with relevant teams
- Capture feedback from incidents to prevent recurrence
Focus : Reducing recurring failures and improving fleet availability.
• Technical performance monitoring
- Use maintenance and reliability data to assess fleet performance
- Identify trends, recurring issues and weak points
- Contribute to monitoring and reporting tools
- Propose technical and organisational improvements
Focus : Supporting data-driven performance management.
• Long-term / lifecycle view
- Monitor equipment obsolescence
- Contribute to vessel upgrade and refurbishment plans
- Support technical evolution of the fleet
- Work closely with Life Cycle and New Build teams
Focus : Anticipating the technical evolution of the fleet.
Requirements
- Maritime education (Merchant Marine) or Engineering degree (maintenance, mechanical, electrical, automation)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as Chief Engineer, Technical Superintendent or in marine maintenance roles
- Strong understanding of marine systems (diesel engines, electrical systems, automation)
- Experience in maritime or offshore environments
- Ability to analyse, structure and improve technical processes
- Comfortable working in an international, cross-functional environment
- Analytical mindset, pragmatic approach and strong continuous improvement orientation
