Role Summary

As a Senior Test Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test strategies for various software applications, ensuring quality and performance align with our standards. You will collaborate closely with development teams and business stakeholders to verify and validate system functionality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test scripts, and test cases based on project requirements
  • Execute functional, regression, and performance testing of applications
  • Identify, document, and track defects using relevant defect management tools
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand the project requirements and provide testing feedback
  • Conduct thorough reviews of testing documentation and provide guidance on best testing practices to junior team members
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and adherence to testing methodologies in all testing activities
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
  • Assist in developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and test suites
  • Utilize testing tools and technologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness
  • Provide reports and metrics on test execution and defect status to stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and frameworks within the QA team
  • Support user acceptance testing activities as needed

Requirements

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Essential:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Proven experience in software testing, preferably in web-based applications
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JMeter) is a plus
  • Excellent understanding of Agile development methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Experience with SQL and database testing

Desirable:  

  • Relevant testing certifications (e.g., ISTQB) would be an advantage
  • Experience in the education sector is a plus
  • Keen interest in continuous learning and professional development in testing practices and tools
